FAQ

Pasar Hamburg experienced a hiatus due to global challenges such as the pandemic, global trade disruptions, and difficulties in securing a representative venue. However, we are now excited to return, having secured the Hamburg Messehallen through a long-term collaboration.

This comeback introduces a new concept with a stronger integration of culture and commerce, featuring hybrid formats and curated experiences.

Our focus for 2025 includes digitalization, sustainability, inclusive storytelling, and the development of long-term partnerships between Indonesia and Germany.

Fair (B2B): A Business-to-Business format focusing on Indonesian MSMEs (UMKM) showcasing their products collectively. The goal is to connect with trade partners through impact partnerships and engage in export seminars, policy discussions, and curated networking sessions.

Festival (B2C): A cultural celebration for the general public, featuring street food, live music, dance, fashion shows, interactive workshops — and of course, the opportunity to buy Indonesian fashion, crafts, and culinary goods directly.

  • Registration & Selection: MSMEs apply online with a form, questionnaire, and product documentation. Curators evaluate the brand’s presentation readiness. If a business isn’t fully export-ready, we’ll collaborate to improve and target inclusion in the next edition — no one is left behind.
  • Preparation Support: We assist with certifications, labeling, storytelling, packaging, and export logistics.
  • Participation Format: Products are displayed in a collective exhibition booth, supported by curators who communicate the cultural and economic value of each product to a professional audience.
  • Location: Held at the Hamburg Messehallen — a central, prestigious, and well-connected venue.
  • Public transport: Easily accessible via Messehallen (U2) or Sternschanze (S-Bahn and U-Bahn).
  • Parking: Public parking available at Hamburg Messe Parking Garages (Messe Ost/West). Full info is on www.hamburg-messe.de.
  • Accessibility: The venue is fully wheelchair-accessible and stroller-friendly.
  • Authentic content: We work directly with Indonesian artists, artisans, and local communities to ensure genuine representation.
  • Diaspora involvement: Many programs are co-created with the Indonesian diaspora in Europe.
  • Culture meets commerce: It’s more than a show — we facilitate sustainable trade connections through curated impact partnerships.
